The assault resulted in the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park.

An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - which police said was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
